2018 NGSS Summer Workshops for Teachers

Elementary teachers

Experience hands-on and interactive NGSS science. Enjoy informative discussions. Get practical ideas you can use right away.

  • Monday, August 6 -- Life Sciences. Are yeast alive? How do lungs work?
  • Tuesday, August 7 -- Earth and Space Sciences. Where does rain come from? What causes global warming?
  • Tuesday, July 18 -- Physical Sciences. What makes waves go? What makes rockets fly?

Wonder how a combination of inquiry, formative assessment, 5Es, and technology looks like in practice? Come to the workshop and see it all in action. Then work with us to plan your own NGSS lessons.

Free for all teachers, breakfast and lunch provided. We will make use of SKIES, a collaborative learning platform. Bring an iPad, Chromebook, or laptop if you have one.
